Computing Core Facility
The GCNI Computing Core Facility is designed to support high-performance computing needs for research and data-intensive applications. It offers two powerful compute nodes tailored for diverse workloads.
A. CPU Compute Node
This node is ideal for CPU-bound tasks such as simulations, statistical modeling, and data preprocessing. It features:
CPU: AMD EPYC 7713 64-Core Processor x2 Total 128 core
RAM: 512 GB
Storage: 40 TB SSD (shared with GPU node)
B. GPU Compute Node
This node is built for GPU-accelerated workloads such as deep learning, image processing, and large-scale data analysis. It includes:
CPU: AMD EPYC 9334 32-Core Processor x2 Total 64 core
RAM: 256GB
Storage: 40 TB SSD (shared with CPU node)
GPU: 8× NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada
Both nodes are integrated into GCNI’s infrastructure and are available for use by GCNI memebers.
