Joint Symposium on Brain Health by GCNI & Oujiang Laboratory

On 12 March 2025, the Joint Symposium on Brain Health was successfully held in Wenzhou by the Gerald Choa Neuroscience Institute (GCNI), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and Oujiang Laboratory. The symposium centered around the theme "Latest Research Findings and Applications in Brain Health".

 

GCNI delegates including Prof Owen Ko, Prof Vincent Cheung, Prof Kim Chow, Prof Linda Gu, Prof Bonaventure Ip, Prof Jacque Ip and Prof Billy Ng and five neuroscientists from Oujiang Laboratory and The First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University delivered presentations on various topics related to brain health, including basic and translational neuroscience research, neurogenetics, latest clinical advancement, new molecular tools for precision medicine, and community analysis. Over 200 scholars, clinicians, and students participated in the symposium.

 

During the opening session, Prof. Weihong Song, Director of Oujiang Laboratory, and Prof. Owen Ko, Director of GCNI, gave opening remarks. Both parties expressed that the event would help strengthen mutual understanding, deepen collaboration and exchanges, and facilitate the translation of relevant scientific research achievements.

 

The success of this symposium represents a significant step in the strategic collaboration between GCNI and Oujiang Laboratory, showcasing both parties' commitment to advancing human brain health. This event also establishes a strong foundation for future collaborations aimed at addressing challenges in the field of brain health.
